110 Metres Hurdles - Amazing Athlete

The 110 metres hurdles is a hurdling track and field event for by men which features in the athletics programme at the Summer Olympic Games. The female counterpart is the 100 metre hurdles. As part of a racing event, ten hurdles of 1.067 metres (3.5 ft or 42 inches) in height are placed evenly spaced along a straight course of 110 metres. They are positioned so that they will fall over if bumped into by the runner. Fallen hurdles do not carry a fixed time penalty for the runners, yet they have a significant pull-over weight which slows down the run. Like the 100 metres sprint, the 110 metre hurdles begins in the starting blocks.

High School Player Austin Groff Hits Halfcourt Back-to-Basket Buzzerbeater

High School Player Austin Groff Hits Halfcourt Back-to-Basket Backwards Buzzerbeater
Austin Groff, a guard for Twin Valley South (Ohio) High School, made perhaps the best buzzerbeater of the year that didn't really affect the outcome of the game in which it occurred. Still, it's pretty awesome.
With time winding down in the first quarter, Groff throws a pass directly into a defenders hands, deflecting the ball back to midcourt. Groff retrieved the ball, stared aimlessly out of bounds for a second or two, then, after prodding from the bench, heaved a desperation shot over his head.

Hole in the net sees a referee chalk off a penalty

Hole in the net sees a referee chalk off a penalty (Gremio vs Marilia)
A Brazilian referee Antonio Zampieri Ulysses has courted criticism this week when the man in black chalked off a legal penalty after the ball travelled through a hole in the net.
The incident took place at the Sao Paulo youth tournament in the match between Gremio and Marilia. Gremio ran out 6-nil winners with midfielder Emerson netting a brilliant four goals, but Emerson should have had even better statistics to show off had his penalty not been wrongly disallowed.
Facing a spot-kick against the Marilia keeper, Emerson whacked a clinical strike into the top left hand corner. The ball clearly entered the goal inside the post, but his shot kept on travelling once it beat the keeper as it escaped the net through a hole.
Clearly not watching the play closely enough and seeing the ball end up behind the goal, referee Antonio Zampieri Ulysses covered himself in shame by chalking off the penalty.

BMX racing - Catch your Bike

BMX racing is a type of off-road bicycle racing. The format of BMX was derived from motocross racing. BMX bicycle races are sprint races on purpose-built off-road single-lap race tracks. The track usually consists of a starting gate for up to eight racers, a groomed, serpentine, dirt race course made of various jumps and rollers and a finish line. The course is usually flat, about 15-foot (4.6 m) wide and has large banked corners that help the riders maintain speed. The sport of BMX racing is facilitated by a number of regional and international sanctioning bodies. They provide rules for governing the conduct of the races, specify age group and skill-level classifications among the racers, and maintain some kind of points-accumulation system over the racing season. The sport is very family oriented and largely participant-driven, with riders ranging in age from 3 to 60, and over. Professional ranks exist for both men and women, where the age ranges from 15 to 40 years old.

Oscar Milton - Scores Off Back Of Goalies Mask

Oscar Milton, a 17-year-old center for Almtuna J20 in Sweden, didn't settle for imitation and went for the innovation in scoring an amazing goal: Lifting the puck onto his blade and tossing it off the back of the goaltender's mask in a game against Nacka of Stockholm.
The slow-mo replay of this goal, really captures what makes it an instant classic; well, that and the mini pile-on by his teammates after the tally. No wonder it was a goal of the year.
