110 Metres Hurdles - Amazing Athlete

The 110 metres hurdles is a hurdling track and field event for by men which features in the athletics programme at the Summer Olympic Games. The female counterpart is the 100 metre hurdles. As part of a racing event, ten hurdles of 1.067 metres (3.5 ft or 42 inches) in height are placed evenly spaced along a straight course of 110 metres. They are positioned so that they will fall over if bumped into by the runner. Fallen hurdles do not carry a fixed time penalty for the runners, yet they have a significant pull-over weight which slows down the run. Like the 100 metres sprint, the 110 metre hurdles begins in the starting blocks.

Austin Groff, a guard for Twin Valley South (Ohio) High School, made perhaps the best buzzerbeater of the year that didn't really affect the outcome of the game in which it occurred. Still, it's pretty awesome.
With time winding down in the first quarter, Groff throws a pass directly into a defenders hands, deflecting the ball back to midcourt. Groff retrieved the ball, stared aimlessly out of bounds for a second or two, then, after prodding from the bench, heaved a desperation shot over his head.

Alistair Overeem vs Todd Duffee K-1 Fight KO

Alistair Overeem has added the Dream heavyweight title to his Strikeforce and K-1 World Grand Prix championships, brutally knocking out the former UFC heavyweight Todd Duffee at the New Year's Eve Dynamite!! event in Japan.
Overeem showed once again that he's among the most lethal strikers in all of combat sports, stunning Duffee with a right hand to the ear and then finishing him with a big left hand to the chin. The fight lasted just 19 seconds.
"This year I won three world titles," Overeem said in the ring afterward. "Strikeforce, then K-1, and now Dream. And I promise you all, I'm going to keep giving you great fights."
Once thought to be a non-title affair, the late-notice scrap between Todd Duffee and Alistair Overeem at “Dynamite: The Power of Courage 2010” will be for the Dream interim heavyweight crown.
Overeem comes fresh off a destructive performance at the 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix Finals in which “The Demolition Man” lived up to his moniker, defeating Tyrone Spong, Gokhan Saki and Peter Aerts on Dec. 11 to snatch the coveted striking crown. He also holds the Strikeforce MMA heavyweight title. His last performance under mixed martial arts rules came in May, when he smashed top contender Brett Rogers in the first round of their bout at Strikeforce “Heavy Artillery” in St. Louis. The Dutchman has won eight of his last nine bouts, with the only blemish in that three-year span being a controversial no-contest to Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic at Dream 6 in 2008.

BMX racing is a type of off-road bicycle racing. The format of BMX was derived from motocross racing. BMX bicycle races are sprint races on purpose-built off-road single-lap race tracks. The track usually consists of a starting gate for up to eight racers, a groomed, serpentine, dirt race course made of various jumps and rollers and a finish line. The course is usually flat, about 15-foot (4.6 m) wide and has large banked corners that help the riders maintain speed. The sport of BMX racing is facilitated by a number of regional and international sanctioning bodies.
